I found myself
Adrift in the constellations kissing your cheeks
Flushed invitations to a smile I’ll never taste
Framed by the prettiest incarnation of the last red at sunset
Only by eyes that in their darkness sparkle
My personal tree of knowledge
Strong arms weary from bearing the weight of perfection alone
Words tantalizing, sweet
Ever so closely beyond my reach
That I could offer you the respite of my soul
